Body Language, The Kickdrums, Savage Skulls & More Play AM Only CMJ Showcase

Ahh CMJ week...the most exhausting, exhilarating music-packed week of the year in NYC. But don't burn up all your energy from now 'til Friday, because all of this week's shows are just prep for Saturday night's big finale. What final party is on our agenda, you ask? The AM Only and Famous Friends CMJ Showcase at Le Poisson Rouge.

If you’re looking for a wild crowd of party-hungry people and some of the freshest beats out right now, no one does it better than AM Only and Famous Friends. Catch The Kickdrums, with their mesh of alternative rock, soul, and hip-hop laid over heavy drum breaks and fuzzy guitars for good vibes and steady beats. Later, Body Language shows you how to talk with your hips with their slew of synths, vocoder, glockenspiel, percussion, and three graceful voices. Savage Skulls, kings of the tropical house movement, walk the fine line between pop and underground sounds and will take the whole party to another level. And don't forget about Dom Kennedy, Kastle, Sepalcure, Egyptrixx and the rest of the acts slated to take this CMJ showcase to another level.

Wrap up CMJ right, or should we say, the only way. Doors open at 8 p.m. and the crowd will definitely be massive. Admission is $5 or free with a badge. See you on the dancefloor.
