New Year's for 2 (A How-To on How To Spend a Nice New Year's with Your Significant Other)

There are two ways that you can have the perfect New Year’s for two. I’ll share two options to make your New Year’s ideal depending on your personality. Make sure to plan and make your reservations ahead of time; if you wait, it might make it difficult to have the New Year’s you really want.

For the romantic and outgoing couple, the following is probably your best bet:

First make a reservation at a nice restaurant like China Grill, located on Washington Ave, for you and your significant other. If you’re the guy, make sure you bring your girlfriend, fiancée or wife some nice flowers, open doors and pull the chair out at the restaurant.

After dinner, take her to a chic place to watch the ball drop, like Nikki Beach in South Beach. As soon as the ball drops, lean over for a romantic midnight kiss.

Make sure you have tickets to one of the hottest parties of the year at a club like LIV or Mansion so you can dance and drink the rest of your night away with your loved one.

For a more relaxed kind of New Year’s, take this advice:

Begin your night at dinner at your families or significant others house; this kind of New Year’s reminds people of their childhood which brings back fun memories. You’ll get to spend the night with everyone you love rather than strangers. After dinner watch the ball drop on T.V. on stations like MTV or Telemundo and have the perfect kiss at the stroke of twelve.

After enjoying a night with your family and munching on New Year’s traditional foods like greens, pork and pastries and sipping on champagne, spend the rest of the night cozying up at home or in a hotel with your lover and end the night by keeping each other warm.

Whatever option you choose, make sure to be safe and have a designated driver or rent a limo or a taxi.
