Since opening on July 26, Miami’s beautiful Latin people have an excuse to head north to
Santo at Gulfstream for some live music and late night cha-cha-cha-ing.
Santo's New York style decor is framed by velvet curtains, graffiti murals, exposed brick walls, mosaic glass mirrors and antique gold frames. This unconventional, urban atmosphere oozes a certain Latin seductiveness with a vintage but modern touch.
Although the new venue doesn’t serve food, you can indulge in their luxurious bottle service with a lounge-y twist in their spacious VIP area while ordering from their cool glow-in-the-dark menus. With multiple rooms of Spanish and Mexican-inspired red and brown décor, it’s the perfect complement to their main stage’s live shows featuring anything tunes from Top 40 music to the latest Latin chart hits.
Since opening their Lincoln Road location in 2006, the lounge attracted an upscale Latin crowd, which included some of South Florida’s most affluent patrons and even international celebrities. Playboy Magazine even voted Santo “One of the top ten Sexiest Places in North America” in February of 2007.
After closing their original location three months ago, their successful run on South Beach led the owners to expand to a larger venue. Located on the second floor at the Village inside Gulfstream Park and across from the Playwright Irish Pub in Southeast Broward’s Hallandale Beach, the new
Santo could potentially even do better.
The new
Santo's staff is also planning on bringing back their famous Latin nights and is even planning on adding a Russian-themed night for locals on Wednesdays.
Grab a drink at their small and quaint front bar and settle into their red-leather banquettes for a little crowd scanning action. When the rhythm, or the rum, starts to get your body pumping, pick your best Latin celebrity lookalike from the crowd and wander out on the dance floor with them – if you’re brave enough, that is.
From Lincoln Road to Hallandale, the Miami lifestyle is making bang in Broward County with sexy Latin rock and cocktails at the legendary Gulfstream Park.
