Romantic New Year's Eve Destinations

It’s an occasion that occurs every year, yet every year we try to make it special; do something different. When welcoming the New Year with your significant other, most people try to lavish out and make it grand, while some love to party the night into the New Year.

The most romantic cities to spend New Year’s Eve are:

5. Barcelona, Spain

Spend New Years in Barcelona one time and you’ll never want to spend it anywhere else. The night begins with a family oriented dinner. The party then moves in to the streets where people dance and drink the night away, but when the clock strikes 12, it’s said to be good luck to eat 12 grapes at the strike of each bell, so be sure to have those handy and your significant other for that special midnight kiss.

4. Las Vegas, Nevada

The city that never sleeps has passion written all over it. With all the neon lights and extravagant fireworks that can be seen from anywhere in the city, Vegas could easily be turned into a romantic evening. Starting your night with dinner on the eleventh floor of the “Paris Eiffel Tower.” After, walk up the rest of the 460 feet of the tower and watch the fireworks from the heart of the strip. You can continue your night at the strip where different artists will perform the night away.

3. Niagara Falls, ON Canada

Spend your New Years in one of the most romantic spots in the world. With live entertainment, beautiful lighting and two spectacular firework acts with the Niagara Falls behind it all, you’ll be sure to rock in the New Year. You can even choose to ride the Niagara Skywheel with your date and enjoy the breathtaking views from your private gondolas.

2. New York City, New York

Everyone knows that New York City is the place to be on New Years. From the weather to the scenery, everything about New York is romantic during the holiday seasons. You have plenty of romantic options, from visiting the Christmas tree at Rockefeller center, taking a walk through Central Park, window-shopping with all the big name stores and their incredible holiday decorations and walking into Macy’s to see the realest Santa ever. Cuddle with your significant other and watch the performances and watch the infamous ball drop from the streets of Time Square.

1. Paris, France

What a better place to welcome the New Year than in the city of love. Just like in the movies, this is the city to fall in love over and over again. One of your many options is to take a ride on the Seine River cruises, which is a tour around the river, which includes incredible views like the Eiffel Tower and dinner. On any night, this is a romantic way to spend an evening, but add fireworks, your lover and the last night of the year and this is the perfectly most romantic way to end the year, and welcome in the new one.
