Back in July, we gave you
a first look at LAVO New York, and unless the nightclub opted to go for an "industrial-chic" decor, some major work has gone on to get
Lavo all dolled-up for its September 15th debut.
That's right, New York City, the Vegas venue brought to Midtown Manhattan by the Strategic Group is finally ready to open it's doors, hosting private previews as early as this weekend. We're going to go out on a limb and say that the boys behind
Avenue and
GoldBar went big with this one... 6,000-square-feet big and full of Las Vegas decadence.
"We’re talking disco balls spinning over a sunken dance floor, ringed by elevated velvet-ensconced VIP banquettes and more flaming sparklers on any given night than the entire Meatpacking District combined," reported UrbanDaddy. "The kind of mega-club that helped coin the phrase 'What happens in Vegas...'"
Good thing we're bringing "that kind of mega-club" to a city where "what happens" usually ends up on lastnightsparty. Perhaps
Lavo New York will tone it down a notch. We'll just have to wait and see...
