Early this morning, the 17-year-old daughter of the American Ambassador to Thailand fell to her death from the 25th floor of a Midtown apartment building, reports NYTimes.com. Nicole John, the daughter of Ambassador Eric G. John and a student at Parsons, had been out earlier that night at Tenjune, a nightclub in the Meatpacking District, before attending a party at Herald Towers.
Police are still investigating the cause of the fall and it remains “unclear whether alcohol may have impaired her judgment,” according to NYTimes.com. Investigators are questioning a 25-year-old man who may have served alcohol to the underage teen as well as workers at Tenjune, other patrons at the nightclub, and the “one or two dozen people at the party.”
