Everyone loves Taco Tuesdays… and no, not the kind spent devouring margaritas and guac at Dos Caminos (although we love that kind, too). We’re talking about the long running nightlife event held weekly at Hudson Terrace where guest bartenders from fashion and media companies take to the bar to raise tip money for charity, while keeping all of us nice and tipsy.
To close out summer 2010, Taco Tuesday is headed to the Hamptons for a four-week stint with the same concept as their popular NYC party. The party, which began last Saturday and will run until September 4th, will go down every Saturday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the all-new Hotel Indigo pool. At the party this past weekend, guests noshed on La Superior tacos and shopped at a luxury pop-up sale by Housing Works. The drinks were all mixed and stirred by Barney’s NY, who donated 50% of their profits to charity.
“In our pursuit to expand into other destinations we felt that the Hamptons was our next logical stop before we head to the W Hotel Los Angeles, CA in fall 2010,” said Neil Jackson, founder of Taco Tuesdays in NY. “We are treating this event more as a thank you to the supporters who have helped us succeed to get to where we are now.”
If you missed the party this past weekend, then don’t freak out: you have the next three Saturdays to head out to the Hamptons and check it out. Tacos, cocktails, sun and shopping in the Hamptons—there’s really no better way to spend the remaining Saturdays of summer 2010.
