Is Greg Gutfeld Opening an Islamic Gay Bar in NYC?

Judging by Greg Gutfeld’s Monday post on “The Daily Gut” it seems as though the Fox News funnyman is serious about bringing a gay bar to Ground Zero, close to Cordoba House aka the "Ground Zero Mosque."

“I'm announcing tonight, that I am planning to build and open the first gay bar that caters not only to the west, but also Islamic gay men,” announces Gutfeld. “To best express my sincere desire for dialogue, the bar will be situated next to the mosque Park51, in an available commercial space.”

“This is not a joke,” he continues. “I've already spoken to a number of investors, who have pledged their support in this bipartisan bid for understanding and tolerance.”

Gutfeld’s main goal is to reduce homophobia in the Islamic world, providing a tolerant gay bar for men of Islamic faith to congregate. The bar will feature non-alcoholic drinks (since the Muslim faith forbids drinking) and space to dance.

We’ll have to wait and see if this idea comes to fruition. In the meantime, let us know what you think about this idea—a necessary establishment for the Islamic gay men in New York and a step in the right direction, or still a little too risqé (even for NYC) for a mosque’s next door neighbor?
