Cut Chemist Performs at The Vagabond

Just when we thought that things couldn't get any better this month for nightlife in Miami, The Vagabond wows us yet again by announcing that they'll be bringing in legendary DJ Cut Chemist to the club this coming Thursday night. If you've been living under a rock for the past decade, or just aren't into damn good music, then you have to be familiar with Cut Chemist's work. He's worked with legendary turntableists like DJ Shadow and Mix Master Mike, but when he goes solo in the booth, it's really something to marvel at. Don't expect any Top 40 tracks in his sets. Chances are you won't recognize any of the music he plays, but you'll still be entranced by the performance.

You may know him more for his involvement with west coast rap crew Jurassic 5 or funk Latin band Ozomatli, but he's been dishing out some insanely praise worthy sets since he broke out onto the scene back in the early 90s. Prepare yourself for a nostalgic musical show at The Vagabond this Thursday night that's only for the musically inclined. If you don't appreciate your rare beats or custom cuts, this isn't the show for you. Not that this is a "music snob" kind of show, but Cut Chemist isn't your typical DJ, and his sets aren't your typical sets. We'll definitely be in attendance for this one, and if there's only room for one event in your agenda this weekend, make sure it's this one.
