There’s really something special about Hoy Como Ayer. Maybe it’s its location, right in the heart of Little Havana. Or maybe it’s the fact that it’s an underground salsa club and a venue that solely puts its focus on the entertainment, and shies away from the glitz and glam of the bottle-popping services that other clubs and lounges in the city seem to glorify. But they also host two of the best weekly parties in the city. Wednesday night's Tropicasa with Oscar G., and Thursday night with the Spam All Stars, one of the most talented musical acts in the city who have held their residency at this tiny venue even after getting global acclaim and winning a Latin Grammy award.
Each and every Thursday night DJ Le Spam and his crew deliver a heavy mix of afro-cuban infused sounds with hip-hop, salsa and cumbia. There’s nothing better than having the vibe of a great house party inside of a local haunt like Hoy Como Ayer. This continues to be one of the main attractions in nightlife for Miami, and we don’t see it going anywhere any time soon.
