The Fillmore has been doing an insanely good job of bringing in great bands to South Florida, Miami more specifically. We’re really not known for our live music scene, more so for the electronic music talent that frequents the city week in and week out. But thanks to the Fillmore, things are actually starting to look up. They’ve already brought in Wilco, Arctic Monkeys, Passion Pit and Vampire Weekend this year, so we’re excited what else is to come. Tonight they present Brazilian singer-songwriter Seu Jorge for a very special event that should definitely fill up the venue.
The first time we heard Seu Jorge it was in Wes Anderson’s film, The Life Aquatic, and we were instantly hooked. Although most of his original work is in Portuguese, he does some amazing David Bowie covers. If you’re looking to start off the weekend on the right foot, this is the show you need to attend.
