Not long ago, we spoke about an ultra-exclusive lounge being conceptualized in the newly opened W Hollywood. Right after Drai’s exploded onto the Hollywood club scene and gained a top spot on the cool kid club list rumblings began about a smaller, more intimate lounge taking form somewhere in the W. Would it be next door to Drai’s? Would it look like the neon-lit Vegas meets LA ambiance of Drai’s? And just how exclusive are we talking?
Finally we have some answers after months of wondering what Victor Drai and Cy and Jesse Waits were up to! The new lounge is appropriately named "The Private Lounge" at Drai’s Hollywood and is currently only open on Sunday nights. There are some obvious differences between Drai’s Hollywood and the Private Lounge. For one, instead of heading high above Hollywood Boulevard to the pulsating Drai’s Hollywood, you will need to find an unmarked door on Argyle and head down below the bustling streets to a more subdued and dark lounge.
Relax on the dark leather couches while celebrity DJs (and by that we mean celebrities who have picked up DJing and DJs who are more well known for being a celebrity than their DJ skills) spin the night away or sip on a cocktail while discussing your important Monday morning business meeting, or don’t. This is Drai’s after all, and anything goes.
