A First Look at LAVO New York

Talk is just talk until you see some visual evidence, and while we’ve heard all about LAVO coming to NYC, it wasn’t until Eater posted this picture (shown on the right) that the reality of LAVO New York came to life.

Strategic Group is bringing this Vegas hotspot to New York City, invading the space once occupied by Au Bar with a two-level venue designed by iCrave. According to Eater, the space is still months away from being finished and should be opening around late August/ early September – perfect timing considering summer weekends in NYC are pretty dead and nightlife traffic won’t really pick up again until the fall.

We can’t wait to see what this place will look like once the power chords are replaced with martinis and the bare floors are finished and packed with beautiful NYC party-goers, but we’re curious how another restaurant/bottle service venue in NYC will fare considering we’ve already got a ton of those around the city. Let us know what you think and stay tuned for further updates on LAVO New York.
