Everyone’s favorite hip-hop/open format party is really bringing in some special guests this week. Z-Trip’s infamous Friday night weekly at Rain, Z-Trip’s Revolution, always has Z-Trip as plan A to run the musical helm of the party. But it’s Z-Trip, he books gigs all the time around the nation, so we don’t expect him there each and every week. Good thing is, when he isn’t in town, he makes sure that he gets replaced by some of the best hip-hop DJs around.
That happens to be the case this week because again as he’s enlisted the help of the legendary Rev Run as well as DJ Ruckus, one of the nation’s best hip-hop DJs. We still haven’t caught a set by Rev Run yet, but since he is one-third of Run DMC, we’ll go ahead and give him our seal of approval. We’ve seen Ruckus play before, and if you’re looking for a hip-hop night that has you listening to the best new music and classics, he’s your man.
