The Awarehouse: A Fresh Approach to Music and Art

The Awarehouse, just a little over a year old, has already made a name for itself in the competitive realms of art, music, nightlife and events. The creatively devised concept and structure was founded by Acustronic, an electronic recording label, and Luis Perez Galeria, a Colombian Galerist. The Awarehouse is truly a versatile venue, offering their genius indoor/outdoor spaces to private events, live musical performances, art exhibitions, fundraisers, meetings, film productions, fashion shoots, festivals…. and the list goes on and on.

This past weekend on Saturday, May 15th Awarehouse presented Synthesis .01, an all-ages event promoting a night of music, art and Miami. The immense outdoor open area was adorned with artistic structures, a live DJ, bright lights, a video projection feed and multiple lounging areas (bean bags, benches and plastic chairs). At this art-meets-nightlife-meets-perfection venue you can experience art in the making, as this past weekend we were first-hand witnesses of an artist working on his spray painted canvas while others admired the piece being produced. Amazing, huh?

Inside were displayed the works of the Miami Independent Thinkers, Tecne Collective, Yuri Tuma and Luis Perez Galeria. So, while perusing the fabulous art, the event coordinators had set up a stage where Prefuse 73 was said to perform with his four-piece band.

Outstanding performances. Innovative art. Insanely cool venue.

Be on the look out for Awarehouse's upcoming events, as you definitely want to be a part of the incredible experience!
