If you’re a hardcore hip-hop fan, then we know where to find you on Monday night – at Highline Ballroom for the release of Distant Relatives, the latest collaboration from Nas and Damian Marley. This show is definitely a big one and will surely attract a crowd full of A-listers and true hip-hop fanatics.
Distance Relatives is due out May 18th and brings together Marley’s Jamaican reggae background with Nas' stellar flow. They are hoping “to build some schools in Africa with this one, and trying to build empowerment," as Nas reported to MTV. Proceeds will go to a school building project in Congo. Although it is a charity album revolving around the hardships and ancestry of Africa, the music will still have the flavors of these two talents.
The show is already sold out, so if you don't have a ticket, you should probably start scouring the internet now.
