Free Summer Music Series on Governor's Island

Want to see some great live bands this summer without feeling squished, sweaty and stuck indoors? Escape from the New York City venues where you've spent the last eight months and take a breezy four-minute ferry ride to Governor’s Island!

This Summer, Highline Ballroom and Mad Dog partner with Converse to bring you “Gone to Governor’s” - a live music series on The Beach at Governor’s Island.

Yeasayer, She & Him and Neon Indian are set to headline the FREE - that's right FREE - music series for 2010. Rain or shine, the show will go on. You can catch Yaesayer on June 5th, She & Him on July 4th for a special Independence Day showing, and Neon Indian August 14th.

As a co-producer and curator of the event, Converse creates a large appeal to the event as a leading brand name global company. Emerging talents from diverse bands will be showcasing their material as a mission to connect with fans through free live concerts in this unique NYC getaway.
