The Nightlife Ratio: Best Clubs for Single Men in NYC

Men, we all know you’re not looking to spark up a bromance during your night out at the club, so it only makes sense to stake out your options and find the spots with the best female to male ratio. What makes men beg and crawl into these clubs night after night is simply the working of the female allure. Fun-loving single ladies travel in packs and they know where to go to make the most of it. Here are the top spots we have compiled that are extremely generous to the straight male clientele.

Red Sky
47 E 29th Street
New York, NY 10016

If you’re hoping to find a couple of single ladies, the last place you might think to look is at Red Sky- bachelorette party central. But boys, let me tell you, you might’ve just hit the jackpot with this one. On these nights, the lovely bachelorette brings out her closest female friends eager to have a good time in celebration of her friend's last night as a free woman. These beautiful ladies travel in packs, toasting to their singlehood. With so many to choose from, you’re sure to find some ladies to chat it up with throughout the night, just beware of the soon-to-be brides. Red Sky includes a drop roof deck and an upstairs that doubles as an art gallery, perfect for private parties, which just happens to be their specialty.

Tenjune
26 Little W 12th Street
New York, NY 10014

It is no surprise that Tenjune makes the list of highest girl to guy ratio in a nightclub. Tenjune promoters are ferocious and rake in enough models and model types to pull together a mini fashion show in this cozy arena. Being a femme fatale comes with benefits here, including skipping long lines and being provided free bottle and table service. It is no wonder beautiful women are known to routinely flock here on a nightly basis with no boyfriends in sight. I assure you, men do not continue to come to Tenjune because of the overpriced drinks and strict door, they come simply for the bounty of women, and for that, its a worthy investment.

BLVD
199 Bowery at Spring Street
New York, NY 10002

For every girl’s night out, BLVD tops the charts. It is an unpretentious lounge and club located on the Bowery that could make any lady feel at ease in even the tightest miniskirt. The lines are long, but rightfully so because of the great dance music atmosphere and equally delicious food. However, the best part about this place is the spacious layout, which allows for men to sit and enjoy the show- and I’m not talking about the live music, but rather the impressive down to earth women (and bartenders) who seem to pack this place on the weekends. This mega-club features a world-class restaurant, café, nightclub, event space and recording studio. The only downside may be the line to the ladies restroom after sipping a couple of cocktails.

Hiro Ballroom
88 Ninth Avenue
New York, NY 10011

Hiro offers an open bar for ladies before 11:30 p.m. on certain weeknights which is the reason why this club has a greater ratio of women to men, but who’s complaining? So if you’re a lady, it serves you well to arrive early and get warmed up before the party on the lower level looking past the awkwardly placed lounge seats scattered on the dance floor. However, Hiro party-goers don’t seem to mind. After dancing to the '90s mix of pop and hip-hop in five-inch heels, any girl could use to lounge space. If you’re not stuck outside waiting, catch a view of the aerial dancers swinging from the high ceiling drapes, part of the Japanese themed décor.

Greenhouse
150 Varick Street
New York, NY 10013

Perhaps woman are just more environmentally friendly, or maybe they are just sold by the modern ingenuity of Greenhouse Bar, but in this gender fight, the women definitely take it. Greenhouse is the first LED-certified "green" nightclub in NYC, bringing in patrons singularly by word of mouth. The ultra-cool lights and collage made out of 100% recycled material is intriguing, but nothing is more attractive than the lack of a cover charge. It may not be so hard to get in, but once you’re in, it will be difficult to leave with the current of swarming bodies flowing in. The tight space is perfect for mingling but you’ll have to do it over the loud music, regularly spun by none-other than a smoking hot female DJ.
