Drai’s Hollywood: Your Late Night Complex

Drai’s Hollywood: Your Late Night Complex

Everyone who has been to Las Vegas has heard of Drai's, the sexy "after hours" bar.  Located in Bill's Gamblin' Hall & Saloon, Drai's is a classic Las Vegas late night haunt, open until 9am and decked out in cheetah print sofas, cherry red walls and dark wood. Drai's is very well known, yet dark and hidden, and after a long night of running around the strip, the perfect place to grab a cocktail and relax without being too flashy.

The new Drai's location is also the perfect place to grab a cocktail and relax after running around the strip, but here the bright lights are illuminating the Sunset strip of L.A. Drai’s Hollywood is less allusive late night haven and more the "flaunt what you got" nightclub to be expected in Los Angeles, but with an intriguing twist. Instead of just being your average nightclub open until 2am, Drai’s at the W Hotel “will encompass an exclusive, highly-designed ground-floor lounge, a rooftop nightclub boasting panoramic views of Hollywood, and a stylized open-air rooftop pool bar”. Sip cocktails while looking over the opulent pool, sit at a white banquet VIP table and gaze at the panoramic city views though floor to ceiling windows, or step outside to enjoy the rooftop breeze.

Created by Victor Drai and his partners Cy and Jesse Waits (creators of Steve Wynn’s Tryst and XS), the mood at Drai’s Hollywood is a little bit Las Vegas flashy and a lot Los Angeles attitude. Accessed only through a nondescript elevator with only two floors, one and twelve, Drai’s pulls you up and into a massive 20,000 square foot space with floor to ceiling windows, white and red velvet tiled banquets and neon lights illuminating the VIP’s. A large dance floor separates the tables from the bar, but we have a feeling this area will be used much more for strutting than dancing.

Already banking on the business of Hollywood, Drai’s played host to Ryan Seacrest’s Oscar Party prior to the space even opening its massive doors to the public. With a sleek style and flashy yet non-gimmicky vibe usually seen at so many other Los Angeles nightclubs, Drai’s Hollywood at the new W delivers. Open until 3am, this is one of the few after hours, or really after HOUR, clubs in Los Angeles and with views like these (and a pool bar and lounge) who needs to go anywhere else.
