If you haven’t already noticed by our daily updates, Winter Music Conference is just around the corner in Miami, and that also means that the Ultra Music Festival at Bicentennial Park is on its way. Seeing as one of the biggest electronic music events in the world takes place in Miami, it’s pretty smart to put together an EDM festival on the weekend of those series of events. You can have the option of buying a weekend pass that entitles you to both days of the festival, or you can always opt for just one day. This year the festival will be bringing in live music that hasn’t been on the lineup in previous years.
While last year Ultra decided to bring in The Black Eyed Peas as one of their major headlining acts, this year they’ve opted for smaller names, but more numbers. Passion Pit, Will.I.AM, Pretty Lights and local act Afrobeta will be some of the bands playing at this year’s festival. However, don’t count out the regulars, including Carl Cox, Armin Van Buuren, Felix Da Housecat and headliners Tïesto and Deadmau5. We remember when Deadmau5 played his first Ultra Music Festival, and now he’s headlining Day Two... how things change.
