Kid Rock (aka Bob Ritchie) celebrated his 39th birthday at LAVO on Sunday night. After walking the red carpet, the rocker and friends headed to the private dining room where they enjoyed a gold birthday cake decorated with an Old English style "D" across the front for his hometown, Detroit. DJ Vice played a rock set upon Kid Rock's arrival at his VIP table on the dance floor, just in front of the DJ booth. Later, Vice led the room in wishing the rocker a happy birthday as a giant two-foot-tall cake in the shape of a Jim Beam bottle arrived at his table. The party went on and DJ Vice played a killer hour-long rock set just for the rock star's birthday. The party raged on and women swarmed (as usual) but Kid Rock took the time out of his special day to make someone else's. An Iraq war vet came early to the club and waited in hopes of meeting his icon. Kid Rock invited him to his table and he and the man spent 20 minutes deep in conversation, even exchanging emails. After a few more hours in the club, Kid took the party up to his Penthouse suite in the Palazzo around 3 a.m.
