Top Outdoor Bars in Miami

It’s summertime in Miami and things are heating up… yes in terms of nightlife, but we meant more in terms of the humidity... the kind of humidity that’s killing us as each day goes by. While nightclubs may serve up the kind of powerful A/C that many of us wish we had in our homes, sometimes it’s not the same as having a drink outside during the daytime when clubs are closed. That’s why there are outdoor bars, daytime gems that provide us with a great reason to grab a drink and enjoy the breeze, even though it may be a little warm. Miami’s teeming with great outdoor bars, but we put together a little list of some of the best that can be found throughout the city. Downtown Miami and even the Gables offer up some nice choices, but it’s South Beach that’ll provide the breeze you’re looking for.

Top Outdoor Bar in Miami: America’s Backyard
100 SW 3rd Avenue
Fort Lauderdale, FL 33312

So it may not be in Miami, but it’s only a short drive away. America’s Backyard is definitely one of the top outdoor bars in South Florida. They have one of the best drinking parties in town and also feature live music from time to time. There’s really no other bar quite like this one. It’s a big hit among the college students, or anyone who’s into not breaking the bank on a few beers with friends. One recommendation: if you live in Miami, try getting a designated driver for the night if you’re making the trip.

Top Outdoor Bar in Miami: Sharkey's Beer & Wine
401 Biscayne Blvd #S118
Miami, FL 33163

When it comes to raking up brownie points with us here at Clubplanet, beer selection is tops. If the bar or nightclub is a little run-down, doesn’t have the best service, but has a great beer selection... well, to us, that almost evens things out. One of the top outdoor bars in Miami is located at Bayside and serves up one of the best selections of brews in the city, Sharkey's Beer and Wine. Stop by on any nice sunny day and you’ll get the true feeling of what it’s like to be in Miami. (Plus after a few beers you'll thank us for this reccomendation).

Top Outdoor Bar in Miami: Monty’s Raw Bar
2550 South Bayshore Drive
Miami, FL 33133

Monty’s Raw Bar boasts one of the best and most popular happy hours in the entire city. Come here on a Friday and you’ll feel like you’re at the best party in town, with sexy college co-eds crowding the bar, live music and a raw bar that you’ll definitely have to get to. During their happy hour, drinks are half off, but what’s best is that you’re outside the whole time! Whether you’re at their South Beach venue or their Coconut Grove location, the drinks are good, the food’s fantastic and the atmosphere is always on point, that’s why it’s made our list as one of the top outdoor bars in Miami.

Top Outdoor Bar in Miami: Jimbo’s Place
Duck Lake Road
Key Biscayne, FL 33149

Jimbo’s Place in Virginia Key is one of those interesting places that you don’t hear a lot about, but when you finally do, you feel compelled to go and check it out. Basically, this place is an outdoor haven for those looking to take in the view that comes with Key Biscayne as well as down a good $3 beer. Jimbo’s is definitely one of the best outdoor bars in Miami, and ask any local and they’ll agree with us. A little advice, check out the annual Swamp Stomp Festival if you get a chance, it’s held at Jimbo’s every year and it’s quite possibly the best time to go.

Top Outdoor Bar in Miami: Wet Willie’s
760 Ocean Drive
Miami Beach, FL 33139

If you’re looking for a good outdoor bar during the day in South Beach, then you definitely have a lot to pick from. While hotel bars and lounges may have you waiting until the sun goes down to grab a drink, there’s one bar that’s always full of energy and drinks are amazing in that they’ll make you drop after just a couple, Wet Willie’s. It always feels a crazy party is going on at Wet Willie’s and that’s because there always is one! When you’re in South Beach and longing for a drink on a hot sunny day (which is basically year round here in Miami) always make sure to stop by Wet Willie’s, where one drink will turn into two, and two into three, and so on.

Top Outdoor Bar in Miami: Sushi Samba
600 Lincoln Road
Miami Beach, FL 33139

There’s something simple yet sexy going on at Sushi Samba on Lincoln Road in South Beach. We’re not sure if it’s because of the décor or the food served there, but this is definitely one of the best outdoor bars in Miami. While the food may get most of the attention there, what guests really come for are the drinks. Sit outside and people watch in one of the best areas in South Beach as you sip away on one of their signature martinis or cocktails. And if you’re hungry, they also serve up some mean sushi…we’re sure the name was a dead giveaway.

Top Outdoor Bar in Miami: Sky Bar at The Shoreclub
1901 Collins Avenue
Miami Beach, FL 33139

While some people dig going to hole in the wall bars during the day, others opt for a fancier place…somewhere that almost gives them the allure of the nighttime. If you’re looking for an outdoor bar such as this than look no further than Sky Bar at The Shoreclub. The décor is sexy, the vibe is intimate and the drinks are very well made. This place is great if you’re going for a solo drink, or if you want to catch up with an old flame. The great thing is that you’re in South Beach, so if things get a bit too poshy for you here, you can just walk out and the rest of the choices you have are endless.

Top Outdoor Bar in Miami: Nikki Beach Club
1 Ocean Drive
Miami Beach, FL 33139

If there’s one ultimate outdoor bar in Miami, it has to be Nikki Beach Club. People who come visit Miami from all over the world always make sure to stop by Nikki Beach and try one of their infamous mojitos. Yes, these delectable drinks are their signature ones and you definitely won’t be let down by them. We suggest checking out Nikki Beach on a Sunday, once you start drinking there in the daytime, we guarantee you won’t leave until the sun sets and the bonfires are lit up near the beach.
