A bouncer has been charged with raping a 23-year-old woman in the bathroom of the trendy NYC nightclub, Duvet. Ex-con Hunter Dupree was said to have attacked the young clubgoer in October. Due to these allegations, the club has been shut down.
According to WPIX news, the women says she was “incapacitated” in the bathroom stall at the time the club was closing at 4 a.m. She was cornered by Dupree, as he was making rounds at the end of the evening, and attacked. Dupree, who spent three years in prison for gun possession in the '90s was arrested on Wednesday and arraigned on Thursday.
In the past two years, the cops have been called to Duvet at least 42 times. This recent closing is also not the first time Duvet has been shut down. In 2007, the club was closed by court order due to a lethal stabbing.
