New Year's Eve 2010 in Orlando

Palm trees, beautiful weather and of course, Mickey Mouse. Yes, it’s New Years Eve and you are in Orlando. After a day full of theme-parks, pools and fun, it is time to get ready to celebrate the New Year. Lucky for you, Orlando has a ton of places to choose from to celebrate New Year’s Eve the way you want.

This New Year’s Eve, follow the wise-words of Madonna: “get into the groove.” Located at Universal’s famous CityWalk, The Groove is a great venue for visitors looking for variety. After passing the florescent blue lights and walking into the club, patrons can get shake their groove thing on dance floor, drink to their hearts content at several bars,  and most important – enter up to three designated lounge areas the club offers.  Each themed-lounge comes with a different vibe, and most important – each section has drinks unique to its designated area.

However, the Groove isn’t the only thing going on at CityWalk. This huge part of Universal Studios is filled with an array of bars, restaurants and clubs. Feel like bringing in the New Year with a little tropical feel? Then Jimmy Buffet’s Margaritaville is where you want to be. This NYE, the venue located on the CityWalk strip will invite its patrons to get “wasted away in Margarativille,” and ring in the New Year.

If you are a fan of vodka on ice, then you might be interested in heating things up at one of the coldest venues in Orlando.  Icebar is one Orlando venue that is “cool”, and we mean that in every sense of the word.  The bar is kept at a temperature cold enough to keep the frozen sculptures, seats and glasses intact. This NYE, the New Year’s Eve Crystal Palace Posh Party will admit patrons into Icebar. Whether you’re celebrating the New Year in downtown Disney, Universal CityWalk or any number of Orlando venues, one thing is for sure – New Year’s Eve in Orlando is bound to be a fantastic night.
