Los Angeles' Top Specialty Cocktail Lounges

As you know everyone has their drink of choice, but you can only hope your drink of choice will be the lucky drink special at your favorite bar. Luck for you we have compiled a list of LA’s top special cocktail lounges.

Nic’s Restaurant and Martini Lounge
453 N. Canon Dr.
Beverly Hills, CA 90210

If a vodka martini is your drink, Nic’s Restaurant and Martini Lounge is the place for you to be. With its amazing VodBox, a room set to the perfectly-chilly temperature for chilling vodka, it has every kind of vodka under the sun and is willing to mix it with anything of your liking. If you do not have a favorite vodka martini yet, I recommend giving the “three olives dirty and cheese” martini a go. It is a specialty blend of three olives vodka dirty with a trio of olives and morbier cheese. The Morbier cheese is the perfect pair for the three olives vodka.

Veranda Bar
939 S. Figueroa St.
Los Angeles, CA 90015

The view from the Veranda Bar could not get any more stunning. Imagine yourself sitting outdoors on a warm sunny day staring out into the sunset over a remarkable pool deck terrace. If you are more of a fruity drink fan you’re in luck! The Veranda Bar is known for its fabulously sweet blueberry mojitos.

Suede Bar
404 S. Figueroa St.
Los Angeles, CA 90071

If it’s been a long day at the office and all you can think about is a lounge chair on the beach with a fruity cocktail in your hand, we’ve got the place for you. Unfortunately we cannot give you the lounge chair but we can offer you a drink that will make you think you’re on the beach relaxing and will make you forget anything that has to do with the rough day you’ve had. The Coco-coconut mojito or the kiwi-berry mojito are bound to do the trick. If fruity mojitos aren’t your thing you’re not in the wrong place because lucky for you Suede Bar has one of the best happy hours in town. Happy Hour at Suede Bar is all about the 4s. It’s 4 hours long from 4pm-8pm and offers $4 well drinks, $4 draft beers, and $4 wine. Although Suede Bar is a small, cozy little venue where everything’s red it is a great place to go relieve some stress after work with the recession friendly happy hour specials.

Pat’s Cocktail Lounge
12121 Riverside Drive
North Hollywood, CA 91607

The words ‘cocktail lounge’ in a bar title does not usually lend way to pool tables, tv’s, and the down-to-earth clientele you will see inside of Pat’s Cocktail Lounge. It is definitely not your typical martini lounge, but then again typical is not always what everyone’s looking for. With the weekly pool tournaments and the touch screen video game machines sitting right on the bar, you can’t expect the martinis to be served in those awfully hard to handle and easily spillable martini glasses, and they aren’t. Pat’s martinis are served in these neat, little pint sized soda glasses, extra strong and awfully cheap.

So whether it is the scene of the Hollywood cocktail bars or the actual cocktails that draw you in, visit any place on this list and you’re in for a real treat. Fruity or dry, whatever your drink of choice may be no matter where you go, these lounges offer them all so relax and enjoy yourself with a fabulously special cocktail in hand.
