There are always a few things on everyone’s nightlife checklist when looking for a good venue to spend your night. First and foremost, or at least nowadays, they think prices. Are there good deals at the bar? Then there’s the ratio factor if you’re single. More guys than girls? But, a lot of time it’s the aesthetics of the club. Whether it’s the décor inside or out, how well kept the bathrooms are, or how friendly the staff is. Aesthetics are truly important in the development of any nightclub, and one aspect that can definitely add to the success of a club is a solid view. In Miami we’re blessed to have some great rooftop bars, terraces and lounges located high above all other buildings. We’ve compiled a list of Miami’s top nightlife views, and you should definitely try and visit each one of these.
Club 50
485 Brickell Avenue
Miami, FL 33131
When it comes to one of the best nightlife views in the city of Miami, look no further than Club 50 at the Viceroy. Located on the 50th floor of this insanely chic and modern hotel, Club 50 may not be the best place for you to lounge around if you’re scared of heights. Apparently this place offers the best view you can get in Miami, and we won’t argue with that statement. From Club 50 you can see South Beach, all of downtown, and glimpses of Key Biscayne and Coconut Grove. If that’s not one of the best nightlife views you’ve ever heard us, then we really don’t know what else to tell you. Drinks here may set you back a bit, but we think you’re paying more for the location than anything else.
Gansevoort Rooftop
2377 Collins Avenue
Miami Beach, FL 33139
Sometimes a nightlife view doesn’t have to consist of a city skyline, instead, the ocean would do as the perfect backdrop. That’s exactly what you’ll get at the Gansevoort South’s rooftop bar. Not only is it one of the chicest places to grab a drink in all of South Beach, but it’s also one of the top nightlife views in the city. To make the best out of this view, try grabbing a drink during sunset, you may still be busy at work, so we suggest hitting up this place on a Friday. Tell a few of your co-workers about and convince them to drop the TPS reports an hour early and head to grab a cold cocktail here. We guarantee you’ll be awestruck by the backdrop of the Atlantic Ocean.
Nikki Beach Club
1 Ocean Drive
Miami Beach, FL 33139
It’s no secret that one of the best places to party in the daytime or nighttime is Nikki Beach Club. We’re not the only media outlet that writes about this place. Not only do they have one of the best mojitos in South Beach, but they also have one of the best nightlife views. Whether it’s during the day, or at night, Nikki Beach Club is a sight for sore eyes. The cabanas are dimly lit at night, almost making the outdoor venue seem like a bonfire ritual for the chic. The Atlantic Ocean is literally yards away from the venue, so if you’re feeling like you need a take a quick dip before ordering the next mojito, we definitely encourage one to do so.
The Standard Miami
40 Island Avenue
Miami, FL 33139
This may not be the most elevated venue, but it still offers one of the best nightlife views in the city. The Standard Miami has to be one of the best and most underrated places in the city to grab a drink. Yes, many of us do take advantage of their infinity pool, but it’s their outdoor restaurant/bar, Lido Restaurant & Bayside Grill, that should get a majority of the attention. Whether it’s during the daytime or at night, grabbing a drink here is as relaxing as it gets, and we think that the view has a lot to do with it. You can take in the sunset here as it slowly creeps down the bay. Prices are reasonable, the food is great, and the music selection on Wednesday nights is superb.
Finnigan’s On the River
401 SW 3rd Avenue
Miami, FL 33130
We’ve said it before and we’ll say it again. Finnigan’s on the River is one of the most underrated places to grab a drink in the city. Not only do they have daily specials, but they also have one of the best nightlife views in the city. Located right on the Miami River, instead of being on a rooftop looking down, you’re on the ground level looking up at all of the giant buildings that downtown Miami has to offer. If you have a boat, you can even pull up to Finnigan’s, tie her up, and have a few drinks before you may your way back to sea.
