LA’s Top Late Night Bites

LA’s Top Late Night Bites

Sometimes it’s just not possible to eat dinner at a reasonable hour. So we have made up a list of some really great restaurants that stay open late for those of you that want a good meal at a late hour. Whether it’s an elegant high-priced dinner you want or an inexpensive meal on the run, we’ve got what you are looking for.

The Foundry on Melrose
7465 Melrose Ave.
Los Angeles, CA 90046

The Foundry on Melrose offers an upscale vibe that is different than any other date restaurant on Melrose. The head chef and owner, Eric Greenspan, presents an original menu to fit everyone’s taste: from grilled cheese appetizers to a scallop entrée. Not only is the food amazing, chef Greenspan will come out and personally explain each item to you as it is delivered to your table so you know exactly what you are getting. The Foundry has no attitude and no ego; with its outdoor patio and sidewalk dining you can eat late in the comfort of the restaurant or outside  and people watch on Melrose at the same time.

One Sunset
8730 Sunset Blvd.
West Hollywood, CA 90069

This classy lounge area with its swanky environment is usually packed with beautiful people in fabulous clothes. But the people are not what One Sunset is known for. One Sunset has great food and fast and friendly service. The price for this luxurious dining experience can get steep but it is absolutely worth it.

Citizen Smith
1600 N. Cahuenga Blvd.
Hollywood, CA 90028

Citizen Smith is a sophisticated place with great food and strong drinks, although they can be a little pricey. While the music can be a little loud for a datenight, it does make a great place for a chill late dinner with friends or co-workers. Fair warning, there is a ten dollar valet fee but it is in the middle of Hollywood, what do you expect? And if you go on a Monday night, the 50% off Mondays will definitely make up for the ten dollars you spent to valet your car.

25 Degrees
7000 Hollywood Blvd.
Los Angeles, CA 90028

The burger joint, 25 Degrees, inside the Roosevelt Hotel is to die for.  The swanky décor of the lush booths portrays Old Hollywood at its finest but the food is far from Old Hollywood. It’s not often you associate Hollywood with greasy cheeseburgers, but with this place you do. It ranks in the “best burger ever” category. Not only do they have good burgers, they are open 24 hours to fulfill all your burger cravings.

Mel’s Drive-In
8585 W Sunset Blvd.
West Hollywood, CA 90069

Late-night people watching while eating great food, couldn’t get any better than at Mels. Mel’s Drive-In gives the old Hollywood feel with its diner décor and Hollywood photos on the wall. It offers great, inexpensive food, and fabulous milkshakes. Because Mel’s is open 24 hours a day, you can go after a night out with friends and see people from all walks of life stumbling down Sunset after a hitting the various clubs on Sunset.

So like Dave Thomas says, “You can eat great, even late”.
