Miami’s Top Gay Party Destinations

Miami’s known to be one of the best party destinations in the United States. Not only are some of the best nightclubs and lounges located on the infamous streets of South Beach, but we have the Atlantic Ocean as our backyard! Every other city in America has a right to be a bit jealous of us, but we won't pay any mind to that. There’s one other characteristic that puts Miami on top, and that is that it is one of the biggest and best places in the country for the gay community. Although there aren’t set venues as to where the party usually is, there are particular venues that are known for great gay parties. Here at Clubplanet we’ve narrowed down the list to the top six gay party venues in Miami, so take notes and prepare to list these on your agenda for the weekend.

Score
727 Lincoln Road
Miami Beach, FL 33139

If you’re walking down Lincoln Road, and chances are that you will if you’re a tourist, you’ll pass by many outside tables where restaurants set up shop for the many visitors that prefer to dine outside. One of these places is Score, but while it seems to be just a restaurant on the outside, inside it’s considered one of the best party venues amongst the gay community. Their weekly parties, including Crème and Sugar Thursdays and Sunday night Karaoke, are always a hit. But things don’t end there. Score’s known to book some amazing talent behind the decks including Danny Tenaglia, Drew Tribe and DJ Eddie Elias. It’s the perfect combination of a chic party atmosphere with the perfect crowd to keep the party alive.

Twist
1057 Washington Avenue
Miami Beach, FL 33139

Certainly the most lively name of the bunch, when you drive on Washington Avenue on any weekend night, you’ll always notice quite the large crowd standing outside of Twist. Inside you’ll find some of the biggest and best dance parties for the gay community, featuring amazing talent that booked week in and week out. Their weekly parties also give the rest of the venues a run for their money. Whether it’s Rip’N It Up Thursdays, with 2 for 1 drinks specials until 3a.m., or Fridays’ Happy Hour BBQ in the garden, also featuring 2for 1 drinks from 6-9p.m., you’ll always get a hell of a deal at this party destination.

Discotekka
950 SE 2nd Avenue
Miami, FL 33132

When it comes to one of the best party destinations for the gay community in Miami, you have to look at downtown’s own Discotekka. Here they definitely put music first, creating quite possibly one of the best dance parties in the city. Discotekka has big fans that always come out for their weekly offerings, including their infamous afterhours party featuring the sounds of DJ Bill Hallquist. Now this afterhours party is only for the real party people that either stay up late or get up early. Regardless, when you step out of Discotekka following their afterhours bash, expect the sun to be shining down on you.

Halo Miami
1625 Michigan Avenue
Miami Beach, FL 33139

Definitely one of the swankier nightlife venues in South Florida, South Beach’s Halo is definitely one of the preferred party destinations for the gay community. There’s one thing that’s definitely sure about this place, the bottle service is superb. Not only are they on the more affordable side (remember, it is Miami) but the staff will make sure that you’re well taken care of. The contemporary feel of the venue combined with the smoke-free environment are two aspects that are definitely appreciated. Happy hour here is always a big winner, with buy one get one free specials from 3p.m.-6p.m. every single day of the week!

The Vault Miami
145 N. Miami Ave.
Miami, FL 33137

If it’s good hip-hop that you want, well that’s exactly what you’ll get when you come into one of Miami’s top party venues for the gay community, The Vault. This place is all tastemaker when it comes to the music. This place is all about sophistication, and it shows with its crowd. If you happen to come into The Vault, and not feel the need to dance, then check your pulse, because you just might be dead. This is the lounge of lounges when it comes to partying, with plenty of room to shake a leg and mingle with the rest of the party people.

Crème Lounge
727 Lincoln Rd.
Miami Beach, FL 33139

“The rhythm is heavy, impelling people to dance.” That’s the description that you’ll get about Crème Lounge when you visit their website, and they’re definitely spot on about it. One thing you’ll notice about this Miami hot spot for the gay community is that everyone in there never has a frown on their face. Maybe because they leave their problems at the door and are willing to party the night away, and that’s when you know it’s a real party destination. Located on Lincoln Road, Crème Lounge definitely has unique characteristics that set them apart from the rest of the crowd.
