If you’re true fans of R&B, then think back to 2001 when Maxwell released the legendary album, Now. Clearly of the best albums to come out of that genre to date, he quickly topped the charts then, selling 296,000 copies in its first week. But after a hiatus, Maxwell is back and claiming his number one spot on the Billboard 200 charts with his newest album, BLACKsummers’night. The sales of the album clearly topped his previous achievement, 316,000, but only time will tell if this album will put Maxwell back on top of everyone's R&B map, a place that he’s well used to.
