Although some of the biggest news in pop culture came this week from Perez Hilton’s assault incident with the Black Eyed Peas posse, the big headline came from the music world when Chris Brown and the state of California worked out a plea deal.  During the Los Angeles premier of Tranformers, some artists reacted to the court decision. Ciara, who’s worked with both Brown and Rihanna before, decided to take the neutral stance. “I support both artists,” she said. “It’s a very personal process.”

Former Danity Kane member Aubrey O’Day also opted to stay in the middle. “Violence is never the answer,” she said. “But with bigger issues like war, we just need to let go and forgive. Let people move on.” However, All-American Rejects member Nick Wheeler wasn’t feeling the same as these two. “If it was just a regular dude, would the sentence have been the same?” he asked. Well said Wheeler, but who’s going to answer that one?
