Last night, the Nightlife Preservation Community held its Launch Event at M2 Ultra Lounge. As New York City nightlife is our livelihood, Clubplanet was in attendance amongst countless club, restaurant and bar owners, promoters, industry employees and nightlife supporters. The party started off with an open bar sponsored by Bacardi USA, Brown Forman, Diageo and Moet Hennessy; while a concrete list of DJ’s, including our favorites the Martinez Brothers, DJ Berrie and Paul Sevigny, rocked the beats. All in all, the evening brought on a solid party for a fantastic cause. A bit of background from the nightlife preservation website below; look for their next event to lend your support!
“Nightlife Preservation Community (NPC) is a group dedicated to defending and preserving the nightlife industry as an integral part of New York’s cultural fabric. NPC was founded in 2009 under the umbrella of New York Nightlife Association (NYNA) in order to combat challenges that not only affect the nightlife and restaurant industries, but the many individuals and businesses that rely on nightlife for significant income.
The nightlife industry in New York City directly employs over 20,000 people. Hundreds of thousands of New York residents enjoy this vibrant scene, millions of tourists partake in nightlife, and talented and productive young people factor nightlife into their choice of which city they will call home.
Restaurants, bars and nightclubs are being threatened by special interest groups and unjust and unproductive laws that promote an anti-nightlife atmosphere. Whether you work in the industry or reap its benefits, NPC needs your help to keep New York City culture and nightlife alive.”
