Atlantic City is known mainly for its casinos. But once you’ve spent the day either losing or gaining a whole lot of green, there’s nothing more appealing than a night out on the town. Although nightlife may not be AC’s focal point, we’ve found spots so hot, you’ll be wondering if you even want to spend your days in the casinos or if you should just rest up for these locations’ 5 a.m. dance parties. Pencil ‘em in - these are the top nightlife hot spots in Atlantic City you do not want to miss on your next trip.

The POOL at Harrah’s Resort
777 Harrah’s Boulevard
Atlantic City, NJ 08401

Hotel experts nationwide have handpicked the AC Harrah’s as one of the top hotels for nightlife in the country. Although Harrah’s is the tallest building in Atlantic City, it’s the ground floor pool where things really heat up. It’s a great place to lounge during the day, but you better not think about sitting down after dark. This place is a non-stop dance party with music so loud you’ll wonder how the guests are sleeping inside. It’s also been known to have celebrity guests frequent so best to keep those moves going ‘till the last call at 4 a.m.

Club Worship
801 Boardwalk
Atlantic City, NJ 08401

The nightclub at the House of Blues offers three floors of music and hosts weekly events you can’t find anywhere else on the boardwalk, such as reggae night. With bottle service starting at $100 and hot DJs, we’re not sure why this place isn’t more popular – especially seeing as ladies are always free and guys can get in for a pretty good deal if they’re staying at Harrah’s. The only thing bringing this place down is that the crowd tends to be relatively small, so grab a big group and head over to enjoy some cheap drinks.

The Chelsea
111 South Chelsea Ave
Atlantic City, NJ 08401

Having replaced the blackjack tables with luxury features, The Chelsea’s extravagance and unique events make it one of the hottest spots for nightlife in Atlantic City. You better hope it’s not a rainy weekend when you’re here, because the pool parties at its Cabana Club are about as hot as it gets. Check them out Friday and Saturday nights and also Sunday during the day, and you’re bound to run into a few A-listers getting massages and their palms’ read, or lounging off in a private cabana playing Playstation 3 on a plasma screen. The Chelsea also has a nightclub inside, so it doesn’t matter whether you’re in or out – just be there.

mur.mur
1 Borgata Way
Atlantic City, NJ 08401

Located within the Borgata, mur.mur has all the glitter of Vegas with all the exclusivity of LA. Already having kicked off the summer with hosts such as Paris Hilton and Kristin Cavallari, this place is a non-stop party that won’t let you sit down for a second. Imagine bright lights, mini dance stages and a vibe that might make you feel drunk before you even touch the booze. Its signature bottle service and carafes of shots and cocktails make for a different style of nightlife than you’ll find anywhere in the city. Make sure to check the schedule for celeb appearances and frequent star DJs, such as Samantha Ronson and DJ AM.

MIXX
1 Borgata Way
Atlantic City, NJ 08401

MIXX, also at Borgata, offers a slightly toned-down version of what you’ll find at mur.mur. With 12,000 square feet of space and four private rooms, it’s a great place to join the dance party led by world-renowned DJs or corner off in a booth for decently-priced bottle service. Since the place is an Asian restaurant during the day, there’s plenty of room to lounge around.

Trump Taj Mahal
1000 Boardwalk
Atlantic City, NJ 08401

If the name doesn’t say it all, allow us to explain. Stepping inside the Taj Mahal feels like a luxurious fusion of New York City nightlife and Indian culture set off in a world all its own. Although Trump offers several distinct bars and lounges, the Casbah nightclub takes the cake as the best spot of the bunch. It’s not only a nightlife hot spot in Atlantic City, but was chosen as one of Nightbar and Club’s Top 100 nightclubs in the country. Expect to leave this place dripping in sweat.
