Las Vegas is known for their hotels located on the infamous strip. With so many to choose from, which ones are the best? Sometimes people make their decisions based on the pools, while others tend to focus on the view. Here at Clubplanet we like to focus on something a little different…the bar. So for your convenience, we’ve compiled a list of Vegas’ top hotel bars.
iBar at Rio
3700 W. Flamingo Rd
Right in the middle of all the action in Rio’s casino sits iBar. The table-tops have Microsoft Surface, so get your geek on while ordering food and drinks, flirting with the table across the room, and checking out new events on the Strip while sipping on your poison of choice. Ultra-modern décor and scantily-clad waitresses surround iBar, so make sure to check them out – that is, if you can stop playing with your table-top.
I Love This Bar at Harrah's
3475 Las Vegas Blvd. South
“I Love This Bar” is named after Toby Keith’s hit country-western single by the same name, so you can expect to do some down-home partying at this Vegas hotel bar. Red, white, and blue décor overwhelms the guitar-shaped bar while country music blasts through the speakers, but even if this is not your thing, the menu will be. It features everything you’d expect from southern cooking in all its deep-fried glory, along with great drink specials rarely seen in Vegas. Best of all, Toby Keith frequents the bar, so country-western fans, try not to get too star-struck while partying with a legend.
Center Bar at Hard Rock
4455 Paradise Road
Located at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in the heart of the Vegas strip, the Center Bar is a perfectly named bar that sits right at the center of all the action. This Vegas hotel bar is known for its happy hour - from 4-8 p.m. every day of the week, the inebriated and broke masses can enjoy 2 for 1 drinks, $2 domestic beer, and giveaways that are sure to cheer you up after a day in the casino. The highlight of the week, Center of Attention Thursdays, is when the ladies are dressed to the nines in order to win the $300 grand prize for being the best-looking girl there. So all you ladies and guys out there, dress to impress – without having to worry about spending too much.
Aurora at Luxor
3900 Las Vegas Blvd S
If you remember anything from your Earth Science class in grade school, it’s probably the Aurora Borealis. It was the coolest thing in the fifth grade, well, besides pogs. The people behind the Luxor wanted to bring the wonder that comes with these “northern lights” to the hotel, so they built Aurora – right across from the front desk. Patrons can bask in the lights while sipping on one of their signature trendy cocktails or a cup of wine from their impressive wine list 24 hours a day, every day.
Shadow Bar at Caesars
3570 Las Vegas Boulevard South
If you’re looking to have a relaxing ending to a night out, Shadow Bar is it. The name comes from dancers doing their thing behind a screen, so all you can see is (you guessed it) their shadows. But if you’re hoping for a Showgirls-like venue, you’re at the wrong place. This tasteful hotel bar has world-renowned bartenders serving drinks from Shadow Bar’s eclectic menu while back-flipping and juggling, so keep a look out for them – if you can take your eyes off those silhouettes.
Rojo Lounge at Palms Place
4381 West Flamingo Rd
Rojo Lounge is located at Palms Place, next to the Palms Hotel – but that doesn’t mean that you’re far from a party. Between the hours of noon to 2 a.m., hotel guests and wide-eyed tourists come to rest their feet while enjoying Rojo’s famed food and drinks. This hot Vegas hotel bar is swank, with its vinyl booths, red lighting, and extensive drink menu. It has the potential to make even the least debonair of us feel like Frank Sinatra and Marilyn Monroe going to Vegas to indulge in debauchery.
Eyecandy at Mandalay
3950 Las Vegas Blvd S
If there were a club run by the Wachowski brothers, Eyecandy would be it. This Vegas bar is innovative – guests can project their own image through the bar from the comfort of their table and the dance floor has LED lights that illuminate with your rhythm, or lack thereof. If lurking is your thing, cameras are situated at each table so you can people-watch without having to get up. If this all sounds too good to be true, you’re wrong – but it comes at a price. Tables are reserved by the hour and this bar fills up fast, so make sure you make a reservation and bring your casino loot – you’ll need it.
