One of my favorite things about summer is getting that gorgeous head-to-toe glow that renders wearing makeup obsolete. From sun kissed cheeks to a healthy golden radiance, a beautiful, even tan is a beauty powerhouse that only occurs during the summer months. But what happens if you aren’t able to take that vacation to Tahiti where you can lay out for hours perfecting your golden goddess glow? Easy: fake it to you bake it. Bronzers have become a major part of the makeup regimen in recent years, especially with so many women opting to avoid tanning in the sun and exposing their skin to dangerous UVA/UVB rays that can produce skin cancer.
Depending on your skin type and how golden you want to go will determine which type of bronzer is best suited for you. For oily skin types, the best option is a powder bronzer that will help eliminate excess oil while giving your skin a healthy hue. For dry skin types, a liquid bronzing gel is perfect since it will both hydrate and highlight the skin in an even, natural way. In terms of body bronzing, the options are a bit more varied as you don’t have to contend with skin type to pick out the proper product. From gels to liquids to powders and sprays, there are a myriad of choices. It all depends on what type of look you are trying to achieve.
Below are some of my favorite bronzers on the market.
Going Bronze Must-Have #3 Liquid Bronzers
These bronzers are great for the sexy, seductive tan look with a nice sheen that’s perfect for those summer nights on the beach or at the club when your skin is the focal point of your look. They go on smooth and leave a lasting shimmer that will keep you glowing all day and night.

Going Bronze Must-Have #2: Self Tanners
The self-tanner is ideal for the person who doesn’t want to apply bronzing products on a daily basis and wants to look as natural as possible. You can go as light or dark as you want depending on the application. It’s also the ideal way to start your tan for the summer. Use the self-tanner as a base tan and then build upon it with occasional tanning by the pool or on the beach.

Going Bronze Must Have #1: Powder Bronzers
My favorite bronzers of the bunch, they pack the prettiest punch as they deliver a gorgeous shimmer that catches the light and gives you an iridescent sparkle which goes beyond a traditional bronzer. Powder bronzers are also easy to carry with you for occasional touch ups.
