This Thursday, June 11th, Tavern on the Green will unveil a summer garden party peculiarly titled, Club Tavern. Yes, that’s right; Club Tavern. As oxymoronic as it sounds, the restaurant will feature bouncers, bottles, and the models that will most inevitably follow.
The concept belongs to night-life guru JE Englebert, who owns Suzie Wong and various clubs throughout the city. Engelbert intends to test Club Tavern as a possibility for future club-oriented Central Park events.
