Every year in Miami, the Miami New Times comes out with their annual ‘Best of’ list. Everything is ranked on this list people, and we mean everything, from best pizza joints to best bars. Yesterday they revealed one of the biggest awards in the publication, the 2009 Best Club DJ, and we were actually quite surprised at who they picked for this year’s award, not to necessarily say that they were wrong in picking this particular DJ, but that this may have not been the right year.
Coming in as the 2009 Best Club DJ is none other than Danny Daze. The young Miami-bred DJ can be caught spinning at South Beach clubs like LIV and Rokbar, but he doesn’t stray away from downtown gems like The Vagabond and White Room. It’s really hard to describe his style of play, but we will say that he loves to scratch, no matter what the track or the genre.
