Marquee’s Noah Tepperberg isn’t slowing just because the economy has. His newest New York City nightlife venture, Avenue, a $2.5 million Chelsea ‘gastro lounge’ as he has coined it, is set to open its doors June 1st. The concept combines a bar/ultra-lounge with moving lights, a lot of seating and some eating. There is a DJ booth, but no dance floor, making conversation an integral part of the experience. Bottle service will not be required for entry. Wink!
Currently, Avenue is open to ‘friends and family.’ Relations being: Mandy Moore, Chace Crawford, Larry Gagosian and Marc Jacobs – quite a family, no?
