Last week we revealed that Opium, The Opium Group’s all-new venture in South Florida, was set for their Grand Opening event at the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino on Friday, April 10th. In order to make sure that this was a real party, they brought in Swedish House Mafia’s own Steve Angello to provide the soundtrack of the night. Was this a good move? Definitely! With their grand opening, Opium let everyone know that there was a new hot spot in town.
The venue can be easily compared to its big brother nightclub at South Beach, Mansion, in that it has an intimate hip hop room, with a small hall that leads into a main room that’s truly the highlight of the entire venue. Steve Angello delivered a fantastic set to a packed house that was crawling with some of the most beautiful women we’ve ever seen! We don’t want to jinks it too early, but we definitely think that Opium’s got what it takes to get the nod for the best nightclub in Broward County.
