This weekend should be regarded by any South Florida resident as, well, sensationally special. Why you ask? There’s another nightclub opening! After taking over Spirit Nightclub late in 2008, one of the most successful nightclub entrepreneurial groups in the biz, The Opium Group, will be opening the doors to Opium, a nightlife venue at the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino, and quite possibly one of the best nightclubs in Broward County.
Last week they had a special invite only party, but this weekend they truly open their doors to all (except the lame guests who don’t know how to act or dress), and who better to provide the music to an Opium Group party then their favorite Swedish House Mafia DJ, Steve Angello. If you recall recently, Angello had a bit of a tiff with Paris Hilton during one of his Winter Music Conference performances at LIV Nightclub, but I doubt that Paris will be a part of the celebration this weekend. Or will she? We’ll be in the house for the party so stay tuned.
