Yesterday we reported that the Beatrice Inn, one of the best places for a good drink, a nice dance and a nice puff of a…well, forget I said that, was shut down because of an unknown reason last weekend. A major bummer for anyone that was planning for a good time at the nightlife venue that’s frequented by city socialites and local celebrities as well. This week, it was finally revealed why the place had been put on lockdown by the city.
Apparently the place had been punished because there were a bit too many people there last Friday night. Doesn’t seem like much of an issue does it? So why lock it down? Well, it doesn’t end there. Owners Matt Abramcyk and Paul Sevigny also seem to be in a little debt when it comes to fines, owning the city nearly $23,000 in unpaid construction violations. Maybe the place would have still been open if it weren’t for those.
