Looks like Merkato 55 got themselves into a little trouble this week. Everyone knows that their Saturday brunch party is definitely a successful event, but now it seems that a lot of this success can be attributed to them buying their booze from Jersey, an illegal act that doesn’t fair well in the city limits.
Buying alcohol in New Jersey is a way better deal than buying it in New York City, but when you run a business, it’s a little different. Not to say that everyone should focus on Merkato 55 for this little mishap, but this situation might just shape out to be like A-Rod in the big leagues. They just might use them as an example.
