With the wealth of nightlife events on our radar this past week, there were three in particular that created the most buzz.
Our first big story was on some ramblings going on about the new Webster Hall. Specifically, there is a considerably large facebook group that claims the club is racist. We wanted to know, was Webster Hall really racist. After a spending some time researching the old photos from the last two weeks, we felt it necessary to put these unflattering rumors to rest. Webster Hall is far from racist, as we proved with a detailed photo expose. The venue is as alive and eclectic looking as ever.
Times are tough for all of us. In our coldest week yet, we decided it was just the time to look back on better (and tanner) times out east. We started by rounding up our favorite photos from the hundreds we have displayed from Pink Elephant, Capri out in Southampton. In some regards, it seems like only yesterday that we were cooling off with bottles of Ros, in others; it seems so very far away. Here's a look at Pink Elephant In 2009.
Finally, we are on the search of the newest place to find socialites and hipsters mingling ala Beatrice Inn. We dropped by the Ivy Party at Chloe 81 with our cameras in order to answer the question that’s been on the minds of some bloggers all month: Is Chloe the east side’s answer to Beatrice Inn. The regular bunch were all there, decked out in their plaid shirts and sweater vests, but if this place is going to hold the same cache as Bea, it’s going to need to start by implementing a tougher door policy. As for everything else? Well, you be the judge.
