With small town charm and the business approach of a seasoned suit, Kalika Moquin is spicing up the list of the Vegas “it” parties with her creative ideas. Kalika took her rural life in Middle America and waved goodbye as she picked up and moved to Las Vegas, chasing a lifelong dream of living in the world of nightlife. Her nonstop efforts to make herself known have paid off as she enjoys being one of the hottest new Las Vegas party promoters and nightlife marketers whose name has become unforgettable.

Clubplanet: So we know you didn’t start out in Las Vegas clubs , where are your roots?

Kalika Moquin: I'm from Missoula, Montana. I grew up on the outskirts of town on a dirt road. Missoula was always too small for me. At some point I will probably go back but I had always wanted to work in nightlife. That was my passion, entertainment and nightclubs. The day I moved out here I knew that was what I was going to do.

You might have known what you wanted to do in Las Vegas, but how did you actually do it?

Kalika Moquin: I started as a promoter for Las Vegas Nightclub Ice pretty much as soon as I got here. And then I worked as a promoter for Las Vegas Nightclubs Pure, for Tao, and then the Light Group. The Light Group gave me the opportunity to take on the responsibility as nightlife marketing director for Bare Pool.

Before working for Bare Pool you had a huge success with the Vegas Prom. What was that like?

Kalika Moquin: It was great to be able to produce an nightlife event that brings everyone together the way the Vegas prom does. Everyone from every nihgtclub puts their projects aside and for one night they get dressed up and really enjoy themselves. That's really why I like to do it.

When you look back on your time in Vegas nightclubs what moments really stand out?

Kalika Moquin: The first time I went to the Las Vegas Nightclub Rain. The feeling I got when I first walked in through that tunnel was unbelievable. I still get chills when I go there.

What do you think the future will hold for you?

Kalika Moquin: I think eventually I would like to end up in New York City Nightlife. I think I'd like to live in New York City  during my 30's and have my 40’s in Montana… And I’ll be lucky if I last past then.

What’s one thing people should know about you?

Kalika Moquin: I am a country music fanatic. I listen to more country music than anyone I know. I think I own every single country song ever written, ever.
