[Hiro Nakamura at Hiro Ballroom]
Clubplanet: Where are you from?
Hiro Nakamura: Tokyo, Japan. If you've never been there, you are so missing out. At least watch Lost in Translation.
CP: What do you do?
Hiro: You know I can't tell you this.
CP: What inspired your outfit?
Hiro: My own inspiration.
CP: Who are your favorite designers?
Hiro: This is very tough. For designers: Jean-Paul Gaultier, John Galliano, Alexander McQueen, Vivienne Westwood, Tom Ford, Marc Jacobs, Martin Margiela, Proenza Schouler and Philippe Starck. For labels: Dolce & Gabbana, Prada, Gucci, Versace, Hysteric Glamour, Abahouse, Edifice, Factotum, Ripvanwinkle. I like sharp/edgy designs.
CP: If money was no object what fashion piece would you splurge on?
Hiro: Fashion is about the total look. A piece is just a piece. But if I could get any fashion piece, I'd get a watch like Louis Vuitton's "Tambour LV277" or Patek Philippe's "5960P".
CP: What’s up with the piercings in your ear! Are those earrings?
Hiro: Yea they are. Some homeless dude asked me one time if these are for acupuncture. What the fuck?
CP: Are your glasses real?
Hiro: Prescription glasses give me headaches.
CP: Fill in the blank: If you weren’t here you’d be…
Hiro: …going on dates with girls.
CP: Craziest thing you’ve ever seen at a club?
Hiro: I go out every weekend, thus craziness is in my reality. Last week we were at Fat Baby and somebody blasted tear gas. Everybody was coughing and crying—it was a mess. But usually the craziest thing at a club is me. By the way you are kinda cute, what's your number?
