In today’s world, true opulence is hard to come by. When every move young Hollywood makes is catalogued by an army of bloggers and buying a bottle almost always guarantees entrance, there is little left that truly stands out. Enter Noir Bar.
You probably never heard of Noir Bar. And they want to keep it that way. The establishment does not release pictures to the press. Yet, you would think that a place that boasts Mother of Pearl walls, a $250,000 Swarovski crystal chandelier and oversized free-hanging mirrors would be screaming to publicize this. But keeping true to its name, Noir, which means “black” in French, would rather keep the media in the dark.
Maybe that’s one reason why the true A-list clientele hang here. Because no matter how badly I prodded General Manager Jaycen Cohran, he would not say which boldface names do.
The tufted burgundy leather walls and candle-lit bar with a marble bar top is another draw. The truly VIP experience is heightened with a personal cocktail server and bartender and custom cocktails of your choosing.
Noir Bar is strategically located next to the LAX outpost in Vegas. But all Cochran would say about the location is that “LAX is a sister property of ours and is a completely separate venue.” So don’t think that entrance into LAX an automatic entrée into Noir Bar.
The question you might be asking yourself is, is there any way to get in? A luxe place like Noir separates itself from other establishments by its exclusivity. Cochran coyly hints that there is definitely a way for non-celebs to get in. Of course, that would only be through invitation or by referral—the only way to preserve Noir’s distinctive nobility.
