Historically, St. Patrick’s Day has been about parades, drinking at parades, and getting into fights at parades because you had too much too drink. This is understandable. And even acceptable. But this St. Patties Day, you’re probably going to want to distance yourself from the debauchery. Why? Because you’re going to look too cute, that’s why. While you may be inclined to wear some cheesy green sweatshirt or those 3-year old Converse sneakers, opt not to. With these options, you’re going to be wishing it was St. Patrick’s Day every day.

Dresses

Day

Ideal for work and then play, this Ali Ro Floral Caftan Dress mixes just the right amount of (mint) green so that you don’t end up looking like the lost leprechaun. Even though those flowers do look a lot like shamrocks...

Night

So you’re more into snazzy dinners than drinks at the pubs. No worries. But does that mean you can’t be festive? Check out MICHAEL Michael Kors Printed Trapeze Halter Dress. Tight enough to be sexy but loose enough to hide anything that needs to be hidden.

Shoes

Day

Sure, it’s not warm enough to wear sandals in New York but that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t buy them. For those of you lucky enough to be in warmer climates check out Steve Madden’s Caribu. Your friends will be green with envy.

Night

They’re called Picnic Basket Wedges but it isn’t recommended you wear them to an actual picnic. Instead, whip out a dress, get your heals on and head out on the town. They’re high enough to be sexy but low enough to be comfortable the entire night.

Bags

Day

Contrary to popular belief, not all totes are made the same. Some are made far cheaper than others. And that’s probably the one you’ll want to wear to work, especially if you’re not even into the holiday. Try Gap’s Twill Tote. Well made, green, and can be reused in the summer.

Night

Let’s face it – you don’t really need to fit anything into your bag. Especially not into this gorgeous Cole Haan clutch. While there is a hefty price tag attached ($425), this bag will likely last you forever, simply because you won’t really use it. Now you have something green for every year.
