Show Us Your Pics (for $100)

You know how it goes. You’re out with your friends. You have a few rounds. Then the tequila. More tequila. And there it is: the digital camera pops out.

The next morning, after a hearty breakfast of Advil, you discover that your camera’s memory card has 247 photos of dancing, group hugs, and sloppy make-out sessions. Huh.

What are these photos good for? MySpace profiles, sure. E-mail chains. Blackmail for your friends.

Now, finally, they’re good for something else.

Cash.

Specifically, $100 cash.

Clubplanet is launching a new contest—open to anyone and everyone—called “Show Us Your Pics.”

How Does it Work?

It’s simple. You e-mail your sexy nightlife photo to Pics@Clubplanet.com. In the e-mail, you give us just a few details:

1. Your name  (last name is optional – we won’t publish it if you tell us not to)
2. Name of bar/club/venue
3. Address of venue (including the city)
4. Date of the photo
5. Caption (optional)

And that’s it. There’s no fee, no registration, you don’t even have to awkwardly enter squiggly-looking letters into a box. Just e-mail us your hottest clubbing pics of the weekend by 9am eastern time on Monday.

Every Wednesday, we’ll be announcing the winner, publishing the finalist, and shelling out $100 cash. Every weekend.

To repeat – this is not just a one-time deal. And it’s not something pie-in-the-sky like the lottery, where you have no realistic chance of winning. The only people you’re competing with are the other readers of Clubplanet.  If your pic is the hottest one submitted for the weekend, you win.

Have some questions? Thought so. Here’s what you probably want to know:

I don’t live in New York. Can I still enter?

Yep. Doesn’t matter where you live. From Miami to Los Angeles, Houston to Montreal, London to Phoenix…it’s all fair game.

Does the photo have to be at a club?

It can be in a club, bar, lounge, restaurant, dive, pool hall, loft party…whatever. But it needs to be out.  In other words, a shot of you sitting in front of your computer—no matter how sexy—isn’t going to win.

I’m a dude. Can I win?

Yep. It’s open to both guys and girls.

I found this photo off some other website. It’s hot. Can I submit it?

No. Only original photos, from you, are eligible. If we discover any foul play, you’re disqualified and you will rot in hell.

I have a HOT photo that I took last year. Is it eligible?

First, you’ll lose some points for typing “HOT” in all-caps. Second, no, old photos aren’t eligible. We’re looking for what you and your friends did this weekend.

Yeah, but you can’t really enforce that, can you?

True. We’re not going to require you to pose with a newspaper, hostage-style. We’re on the honor system here.

How big does the picture need to be? Mega-pixels and what-not?

We’re not gonna get all technical here, but it needs to be larger than an itty-bitty thumbnail. If you have to squint to see it, it’s probably not going to win.

I took a picture of a sexy girl at a club. I don’t know her. I don’t know her name. But I took the picture. Is that eligible?

Sure. If you took the picture, it’s eligible.

REALLY? Even if it’s just some random chick I don’t know?

Yes already. Call it whatever you wan, but yeah, we’ll reward your creepy photo-stalking. If you take some sexy pic at a club, it doesn’t matter if you know the people in the photo…it’s still your picture.

Can it be a group shot?

Sure.

Can I e-mail you more than 1 picture?

Why not? Send us as many as you’d like. Just be sure each one is labeled clearly.

What about nudity?

No nudity. Or, more specifically, you can be racy and risqué, and you can show skin, but you can’t show the goods. (No nipple.)

I’m a photographer for Clubplanet.com or OtherNightlifeSite.com.  Am I eligible?

Nice try.

Who judges this?

The Clubplanet staff.

Please. You guys get paid to do this?

A little.

So can you give us any tips on what you’ll look for? Aesthetically?

This sounds a little absurd, given the nature of the contest…but classy-sexy will beat cheesy-sexy. If that makes any sense.

How do I enter again?

Easy. Just e-mail us Pics@Clubplanet.com.  Include:

1. Your name  (last name is optional – we won’t publish it if you tell us not to)
2. Name of bar/club/venue
3. Address of venue (including the city)
4. Date of the photo
5. Caption (optional)

So spread the word. E-mail this link to friends. Again, every weekend we’ll be giving out cash for the best photo.
