ADE 2014 Dates Announced

There was big news from Holland today as it was announced that the Amsterdam Dance Event (ADE) will take place from the 15th to 19th of October, 2014. The event, which is now in it's 19th year, has seen itself double in size as the electronic dance music scene has taken over the world.

After the huge success and mass media coverage of last year's event where focal point was the 25th Anniversary of dance music in the Netherlands and how it's affected the world dance music scene, the ADE's organizers are very confident that they will see it grow even more and expect around 350,000 visitors from around the world for this year's event. 2013's ADE had a total of 2,156 artists from around the world performed in 80 different venues.

ADE director Richard Zijlma, says, "The success of ADE and the health of the electronic music sector are inextricably linked. Dance music is currently in the process of conquering the world, with more and more countries and industries getting involved. Consequently ADE has become a global knowledge and business platform that the world, and the Netherlands and Amsterdam in particular, all benefit from. It's not for nothing that dance music is now an important part of the cultural policy of the Dutch government."

All reports from ADE 2013 were that it is one date in the clubbing calendar that shouldn't be missed. We advise you start looking at flights and accommodation now because ADE 2014 event is going to be huge!
