NY Techno Icon BORIS To Make Rare L.A. Appearance

With so many parties going on across your home city this week, you can be excused for feeling a little overwhelmed with it all. We've already stressed to each and every one of you that you need a little bit of planning with where to go and who to see over this busy holiday period.

Well, if you're local to Los Angeles and want to experience the club scene outside the over commercialized "EDM" scene that -- in the words of Roger Sanchez in our recent interview-- is "spoon fed" to you by clubs and other media, then we have a night for you that you really don't want to miss.

BORIS (Sci+Tec, Stereo, Octopus, Tronic) will be making an exclusive and rare appearance in Los Angeles tomorrow, Friday December 27th, at Dim Mak Studios in Hollywood. The night, presented by Habitat LA, is set to be one of the biggest nights of the week in a city now making a strong stand against the commercial side of the scene with it's ever growing underground movement. All across L.A., clubs and promoters are making bookings outside the norm of the over exposed, high fee big name DJs we saw emerge in 2013, and the city is breaking barriers and bringing the underground genre to the forefront of the U.S. dance music scene.

BORIS is a New York Techno/Tech-House icon holding many of the cities most prominent residencies such as Pacha, Crobar, and Roxy and is seen as a bit of a local hero in the Big Apple club scene. Outside the city, he holds residence at Space (Miami), BPM Festival and has gained international acclaim with success in Asia, Ibiza and many more of the world's major cities. Fun fact of the day: His annual pool party "Get Wet" is a staple at Miami Music Week and will be showcased at the upcoming BPM Festival in 2014.

Take our word for it; if you are one of the many clubbers our there who have put "exploring new genres in electronic music" as part of your New Year resolutions--and if you haven't, you should-- then go and see BORIS at Dim Mak and get a taste of the New York Underground sound here on the West Coast. We promise you'll not leave disappointed.
