Serato Names Chuck D An Icon

Public Enemy
, one of the most iconic groups in hip-hop history, had the very first full length album to be available online, opening up a new landscape for artists to connect to their fans. The group maintains huge cultural importance and who better than the infamous Chuck D to be named Serato's newest icon. Born in 1960, he says: "The first 10 years of my life was actually somebody who had Negro on a birth certificate, and by the time I was 9 and 10, everything was black. A lot of the reasons were cultural, and the culture followed the movement of people fighting for equal rights, not more rights. Equal rights."

Chuck D recently collaborated with Serato on a very unique, hand-pressed Picture disk (limited quantity) that will be released later this month. Check out Serato's exclusive insightful interview in the video below.
